The new annual passes for Universal Studios Japan went on sale starting from October 17, 2022, with validity starting from November 14, 2022. The new annual passes come in two types: “USJ Annual Pass・Grand Royal” (ユニバーサル・プライム年間パス・グランロイヤル) and “USJ Annual Pass・Standard” (ユニバーサル・プライム年間パス・スタンダード). Both passes are available for purchase on online ticketing platforms and Lawson ticketing platform. Ticket booths and the Annual Pass Center inside the park will open for sales after November 14, 2022. The previous annual passes (Annual Pass VIP and Light) will be available until November 13, 2022.

Moreover, when renewing the pass, you can extend the validity period for only 39,819 yen. The price of the new Standard Annual Pass is 20,000 yen for adults and 14,000 yen for children. Although it is much cheaper than the Grand Royal pass, it does have blackout dates on specific days.
